About Our Staff Development and Seminars
Typically, staff development can be informative but less than stimulating. Our trainings are always dynamic and highly motivating because we use a “Laugh - and - Learn” approach to staff development. Using a “nuts & bolts” method, teachers will leave our trainings with working strategies ready to use as soon as they return to their classrooms.
Combining effective staff development with follow-up coaching, teachers are able to create an environment where high academic expectations are not compromised by inappropriate student behavior.
Dennis travels to several states working in many schools both urban and rural. Dennis has presented his program to individual schools as well as entire school districts. Dennis has trained teachers and administrators in large inner city school as well as small Indian schools of the mid-west.
Here are a few of our programs:
- Classroom Behavior Management - Teacher Training: (One day training)
Teachers are given tools to establish a positive, safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Classroom Behavior Management - The Leadership: (One day training)
The school’s administration are given the tools needed to implement the Classroom Behavior Management program and how to support teachers in need.
- Coaching, Monitoring & Follow-up Consulting: (One day per 35 classrooms)
Coaching and monitoring days assist teachers and administration to correctly implement the Classroom Behavior Management Program.
- Working with all Parents: (One day training)
Teachers learn effective communication techniques to work positively with all parents. How to refocus an unfocused parent. Phone, face to face conferences, and team / parent meetings.
- School Discipline Team Workshop: (Three - four day training)
Each school brings a team consisting of 1-2 administrators and 5-6 teachers. Teams receive complete training in each of the above trainings as well as Implementing a Classroom Behavior Management Plan and Implementing a School-wide Behavior Management Plan.
- School District Security Officers Training: (One day training)
This training concentrates on effective communication and behavior skills for security personal while working with students, teachers, and parents. This training is also focused on security officers assisting in creating and implementing a positive school environment.
We are currently setting up area trainings. These are three day intensive teacher and administrator trainings that can be hosted by individual schools and are open to the public. We would enjoy coming to your state / school and provide a staff development for your area.
